Artist Notes

Eleanor Nadimi is a London-based artist whose work spans painting, textiles and colour. Influenced by artists like James Turrell, Josef Albers, Mark Rothko and Marion Dorn, Eleanor creates abstract pieces that explore how spaces influence emotions, reflecting her fascination with the intersection of colour, architecture and human experience.
“Colour is incredibly powerful, especially in interiors — it can completely change your mood.”
Eleanor’s framed works use reclaimed frames, either left as found or restored and painted as an extension of the canvas, softening the boundary between artwork and environment.

This study was done in Palm Springs at sunset, the sun’s light made the buildings glow. This painting is an attempt to capture the warmth of the sun as it cascaded over the city.
