Ellen Bashford, a self-taught painter based in Hackney, East London, began painting in 2019 alongside her career in arts publishing. Her acrylic works, featuring textured, abstract forms influenced by Modernist and Surrealist movements, depict playful, imaginative scenes filled with vibrant, biomorphic shapes that explore dynamic relationships between space, form, and hidden meaning.
